Fentanyl In Pain Pump Withdrawal

Has anyone out there come off of fentanyl delivered thru a pain pump?? I've gone from 1.9 mcg/day to .385. At what point can the pump be safely shut down. I'm going to have the pump removed soon. But feel my Dr is not sure how to completely get me off it.

Are you not seeing a pain specialist then? Because they should be specially trained in handling this type of thing.

It's really difficult for anyone else, including a general practitioner, to know, because much of it depends on you and how severely you react to the withdrawal of such medications.
