Can someone provide me with info on a Fentanyl 50 mg patch?

I was just prescribed the 50 mcg Fentanyl patches for severe and constant back pain. I was just wondering, since my pharmacist said I could wear it on my behind, how long does it take to start taking affect. When will my pain start to go away?

My dr just prescribed me fentanayl patches 50 mcg an hour. does that men it releases 50 mg an hour for three days??? im new to this and have been trying to look it up.

After u strap on a patch, (I'll use the 50 mcg. For this instance), every single hour the patch will release 50 MICROGRAMS, per hour! Slot of people mistakenly assume it means milligrams, but it's actually 50 MICROGRAMS that come out. Please take EXACTLY as your directed b your doctor...PLEASE!!! This is the most powerful pain killer available. It can kill you if you choose to disregard the warnings. But when taken as directed by your Dr, it will work just fine, u may need a different med for breakthrough pain, but I hope all goes well for you, and may your pain be only a memory some day.

I was on fentanyl patch 50mcg Teva mfg. they did absolutely nothing except make me sick, diarehhea, not to mention I was in alot of pain and got no relief. Now I have Waatson 25 which seems to be working so far.
