Femara/multiple Other Drugs/reactions
UpdatedMy mother is a cancer survivor and currently taking Femara. She also takes Meprobamate, Simvastatin, Fluticasone Propionate, Plavix, Omeprazole, Coreg, Digoxin, Zestril, Zyrtec and Aleve. I am shocked at how many drugs being prescribed by several different doctors. How can I makes sense of all of this with so many doctors involved. Are there any reactions I should be concerned with. Thank you.

I am also a cancer survivor. Your mother needs to get clean of all these meds unless she has high blood presure. She is doing more harm then good. She needs to detox, eat well and step aside from all these advertised drugs.
No one should stop any prescribed medication, without their doctor's approval. Doings so risks experiencing serious, and possibly fatal, physical harm.
LaurieAnn, are her doctors aware of everything she is taking? That is the main consideration, if they all have a complete list of her current medications, and are monitoring her regularly for any potential problems.
For example, the Omeprazole, may decrease the effects of the Plavix, so her dose might need to be adjusted to account for that in her treatment. Aleve, and Zestril can have the opposite effects of each other, and the Omeprazole may increase the effects of her Digoxin, which could require more dose considerations.
There are other interactions possible, as well, which is why her doctors should all be monitoring her for any issues. How often does she see her doctor?
