Famynor Tablets Uses

Hi, I've had abnormal/irregular periods since I started my periods. They've been on and off since day 1. I would go for months without any sign of bleeding or spotting. Three years back I would spot for weeks and after it would be a normal period; last year an unusual spotting started to come in a brown color. It went on for weeks as well. I then went to the nearest clinic n got famynor which stopped the spotting. In between the month of usage the spotting came back as periods and the famynor couldn't stop the bleeding, only to find a huge clot that came out and I thought my problem was solved. On that same week I went through my normal periods without any pain whatsoever but the bleeding was heavy at first n it just slowed as time went on. On the following month it was a usual period cycle. Now this year the spotting has come back cos I never went back to the clinic for a check up and it's not as heavy as the first one but it concerns me a lot. I want to go for a pap smear to see if there isn't cancer or a disease on my cervix. If I remember correctly I last saw my periods in july last year. What should I do?

Hi I've started using famynor and now I can't stop bleeding. I was having normal periods before but now that changed. I don't know if I should stop taking this pills or continue and see if I'll stop bleeding

According to the NIH famynor contains the active ingredients Ethinyl Estradiol .05mg and Norgestrel .5mg. This medication is used as a contraceptive and decreasing pains and blood loss during certain menstrual conditions.

As for the rest of your post, I would say that you should definitely follow up with a doctor if you are concerned about your menstrual cycles. They had previously prescribed you Famynor which can aid in the unusual bleeding but if you stopped taking it you may need to discuss with your doctor the option of going back on it. Regardless of the situation it is never a bad idea to regularly get a pap smear done to ensure that you are in healthy condition.
