Famynor Contraceptive Tablets

Hi. I've got a loop in but some months get an irregular, non-stop bleeding. The nurse gave me famynor, instead of ovral which they normally use to give me, when this happens. I normally just drink it for 2 or three days until the bleeding stop so did the same with this famynor. But now my period has returned after a week. Should I carry on drinking all the white tablets or what am I to do? Should I be worried or see a dr. about this?

You can never go wrong getting the opinion of a doctor to be sure what's going on.

However, irregular bleeding can be a side effect of your loop, as well as the oral contraceptives the nurse has been having you take to help with it, according to NIH reports. To really get it under control, you usually need to finish the tablets for a few months. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight changes.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
