I took a urine test and had a false positive for THC, methamphetamine as well as benzodiazepine. I am prescribed Suboxone, ibuprofen, lisinopril and levothyroxine. I have in the past had a false positive for methamphetamine and benzodiazepine. I'm quite honestly shocked and would like to know which of these medications have caused the false positives? Lucky my probation officer understood false positives with the false positives I've had in the past. I have a new probation officer now and she is not so understanding. Please help.

I had a doctor's appointment and my doctor always take a urine test of all patients and this time I have went to the doctor and took a urine test not knowing that mapap extra strength pain medication over the counter shows up in your urine as methamphetamine. I told them I don't use drugs and I don't even know what that is. I'm 60 years old. It showed up again so I asked him to check all the medication that I am taking because I'm not using drugs. This time I said the only drugs I'm taking besides the medication that you are giving me is Advil and this medication that's called mapap. It's the Tylenol and I googled it. This would give me a false positive methamphetamine test. They took away my pain medication because they said that I was using methamphetamine but this Monday morning I'm going to notify them and let them know what I found and the over the counter medication that I've been taking is what caused that test to be positive for methamphetamine and see where it goes from there. If you can help me in anyway please let me know.
