If you have a prescription for this medication then you do not have to worry. Simply present it to the lab prior to your test so they are aware of the possibility of it showing up.
Regarding the chances of a false positive, I've heard that they can occur on the standard tests, anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time; which is very frequently in my opinion.
Apparently Amitriptyline may test positive for Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCA) or LSD. I'm not certain though if these false positives depend on the type of test given, but it's good to know so you aren't surprised if a false positive does occur.
