False Positive On Hair Follicle Drug Test For Methamphetamines (Page 7) (Top voted first)

I have custody of my two oldest children and their mother has a problem with methamphetamines. I know this for a fact because that's why we separated, but she is claiming that the positive hair follicles that she has taken and failed are all because of her asthma medicine. Are there any asthma medications that cause a false positive on both methamphetamines and amphetamines on a hair follicle test??

I took about half a gram (if that) of methamphetamine about a month ago on one night and have been clean before that for about a year and a half. Took a hair test and my hair is cut to only 1/4 of an inch. Will I pass?

I took a small line on a Friday night and little key bumps sunday monday and Tuesday morning and have a hair test in 5 days will I pass

Bupropion does show positive for methamphetamine in some people. It depends on how someone's body metabolizes it.

I took a hair follicle test month ago and it was postive for methamphetimines i called my doctor and she told me wellbutrin im taking could cause a false positive i was upset cause i dont do this garbage i called accurate background and they turned me over to mro medical review officer they wanted my prescription records i faxed them now their doctor saids nothing in my records could cause positive in my record i Google wellbutrin and told my yes could cause a false positive is their anything i can do bout this issue?help from anyone tht can give me a little advise thanks in advance

Same thing fat cps took my kid 3 months ago we went there it was supposed to be last time an be done with it . Of course I got a false positive I ask is there anyway this could be wrong .she said no .turns out it was my prescription that dis it an I have the proof.how do they make up the lost time was going to give up my rights to my mom .it's bs when do right an still lose your kid if I was dirty I wouldn't take my kid with me to go do the test . I go in 3 days back to court they think I'm giving up my rights but calling today to get a lawyer an try to make that cps women loss her nob

My grandson was born in November. In May they did hair follicle testing for methamphetamine and said the results came back very high. How can that be? I've been an x lab tech for 40 years.

Sally says, it is time we help put these families back together. Some are losing their jobs because of false positives. They all have one thing in common rantidine. Where can I get info that will hold up in court? Please help us and others. Thanks for answering. Sally

It clears out of blood and urine much faster than hair.. Which is why hair is the most efficient and harder to cheat!

My hair follicle test keeps coming back stating that my methamphetamines levels have doubled and I just find that hard to believe because I haven't touched methamphetamine in going on a year! I go to court in November to try to get my kids back and I just really need some type of advice, anything would be useful! Thanks so much!

Usually when you do a hair drug test you sign a chain of custody form. Did you sign a chain of custody form?? IF not the lab might have mixed up your sample with some other person. I would consider do you own Hair 5 Drug Panel test to see where you are at. Do you know what lab did the testing??

If on a hair test that is positive for methamphetamine, wouldn't it also be positive for amphetamines? And how do you test negative and nine days later positive on a hair test?

It was a hair test.that tested negative for amphetamines and positive for methamphetamines. With no quantities amount given. Yet 9 days before that I had a hair test show all negative.

I did my own and passed but but my ex wouldn't accept it so the court asked me to take another .which I failed.the cut off level on the first was 500the second was 300. Is that even legal.butbi agree it is stupid

The standard cutoff level is 500pg/mg so I am surprised they found a lab that would test down to 300. If the collection of the hair was done at a collection center any hair test can be used for legal purposes.

It takes about 5-10 days for the hair to grow above the scalp so it can be cut for a hair drug test. Most hair tests don't test for methadone but it all depends on what lab is doing the testing. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample will go back 90 days.

I am a painter and work with acetone, acrylic urethane gloss enamel catalyst, waterborne strippable booth coating, methyl, lacquer thinner, xylene, Oem finishes, dry enamel, which many of them contain toluene, benzene, ethylbenzene pigments, methanol, xylene, and there are many more chemicals.
