False Positive On Hair Follicle Drug Test For Methamphetamines (Page 2)

I have custody of my two oldest children and their mother has a problem with methamphetamines. I know this for a fact because that's why we separated, but she is claiming that the positive hair follicles that she has taken and failed are all because of her asthma medicine. Are there any asthma medications that cause a false positive on both methamphetamines and amphetamines on a hair follicle test??

I was smoking meth regularly, and stopped so I wouldn't lose my kids. I kept having hair tests and the levels were dropping, but I lost my kids anyway. The "experts" concluded I was still using. It took 11 months to get a clean hair test after I stopped using. Meanwhile, I've lost my kids. They won't even speak to me. Thanks a lot "experts". You've destroyed 3 lives with your interpretation of results.

CPS took my kids away based on a lie. But, they did a hair follicle test on my husband and suprise, suprise it came back positive for exactly what THEY were looking for. This seems to be common practice for CPS and the hair tests don't seem to be correct. BE careful of hair follicle tests! REFUSE them, cps can't make you take them. Take a blood or urine test instead. I am a registered medical assistant and I trust those more than i do the hair tests. They are just unreliable. And once CPS has a positive, they have you. I say BOYCOTT the hair follicle tests! And anything you do for CPS is VOLUNTARY! remember that.

My boyfriend is also fighting for his son. He has been clean for 7 months. The hair folicle test was also positive.All his urine tests are negative how is that possible?

I RECENTLY TESTED POSITIVE FOR METH ON A SALIVA SCREEN, THAT WAS TAKEN AT THE SAME TIME MY URINE SCREEN WAS TAKEN AND THAT WAS ALL CLEAN, I TEST 5 TIMES A WEEK RANDOM AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME B4, I HAD BEEN SICK BUT ONLY TOOK OTC MEDS, NO PRESCRIPTION MEDS, OTHER THAN MY SYNTHROID, PRETIZONE, TORDAL, MOTRIN 800, WELBUTRIN, PROZAC, AND PRESCRIPTION PRILOSAC. PLZ HELP ME UNDERSTAND HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN.......

It took 11 months for the meth to come out of my hair test after I stopped using. I used to smoke it. I wonder if I had shot it up if it would have come out of my hair immediately after I stopped. Maybe it was still in my lungs for 11 months. I don't know. But I lost my kids. No one believed I'd stopped. It's been a year and a half I've had my life back. But my kids are gone.

My husband never used Meth he did a hair follicle test n it came back positive..what would of made it come back positive?

My husband is almost close to getting our daughter he never used Meth in his life b4 now he tested n his hair came back positive for Meth I don't c how that was possible..so now I don't know it on our up coming court what they will say but this is the 2nd time they have used scissors they use for every one else

Yes both of those can cause false positives for amphetamines.

Take it to your po they can help you with that if it was prescribed to you you should not have nothing to worry about talk to them

I just received my hair follicle results and they were positive for meth. I don't use and never have but was having an alertness issue during training for a new job and a friend suggested taking a diet pill or two a day. I took 10 adipex over a nine day period, 12 days prior to my test. Never thought about diet pills causing a false positive? Is it possible?

The hair follicle test will go back farther than the blood or urine, the blood and urine go back a couple days to two weeks, the hair follicle shows usage, or exposure in his case for up to 90 days or longer!

How old is your youngest? Did you do methamphetamine, shoot up or otherwise, while you was preg with her, maybe even before you found out? I am so frustrated tht ppl think automatically you are not a good parent if you have a prob.

A hair follicle test showed I tested positive for THC. I don't do drugs. I take ibuprofen several times a week for constant head aches and nasonex. Both I read can cause false positives. A long with that I take over the counter sleep aids nightly. The day i got fired I had another test done and it came back negative. Employer didn't care about second test. So I had their sample retested. Came back positive again. Mine and their test was only six days apart. I'm left scratching my head on how this has happened.

In TN the fentramine drs give a letter stating those meds may give a false positive for methamphetamines.

I have a terrible family. They are extremely jealousy of me. They have been making faulse reports of drug use and abusing my children for years. This last time they wanted me to take a hair follical test to prove I'm not on drugs. I have a CDL license with endorsement of hazardous materials and a license from ATF&E for transport of, use and detention of explosives. I take drug test all the time and have never failed a test before. I do not use illegal drugs but it came back positive for meth. ???? I can't explain it. I've never used. I'm afraid they will take my children. What can I do to dispute this. I'm a single woman with two children and my family are all users. We do not get along so I am on my own and I can't afford an attorney.
