False Positive For Cocaine

I tested positive for cocaine today at my pain management appointment. I don't do illegal drugs. I had them take my blood to send out as its impossible for it to be positive because I in no way used it. I am on Percocet, Methadone tab for pain, Zanex, Soma, Nurontin, Fiibrid, and Buspirone. I am just in shock over this...why did this happen?

Just to double check, what medication did you mean by fiibrid? When I checked for possible false positives, I assumed you meant Viibryd, but I want to be sure.

And as to Viibryd and the others you listed, none of them have been known to cause false positives for Cocaine.

yes, viibryd, I used motrin and nasel spray..but I have had other test with all same medications and no problem. I had them take my blood but I wont know until monday what comes out of it. I am just totally freaked out..there is no possible way its cocaine..

I have also been tested at my pain management clinic and a week later received a letter advising me I had failed for cocaine and would no longer be seen by this doctor. I have been with him for years never a problem and really trusted him. Thought we were at least friend’s not just a cold name on a chart. Of course I was beside myself not understanding what had happened, and cocaine of all things. With all I was taking the last thing I would put in my body would be cocaine because I live for my granddaughter and have no desire to die with drugs mixed with medication. So I understand you fears and noticed the date has been some time but if you read this please let me know how you resolved this please. I just want to know how to prove to my doctor or rather ex-doctor whom I respected that I did not take cocaine. He did meet with my husband and I when we tried to prove to him it was impossible and he acted as if he really believed me and told me it was not him I needed to prove anything to but to the lab company. He told me I had 2weeks before my medication would run out to correct this and he would help me in any way but when we called the lab they refused to talk to me said they could only talk to the doctor. We tried to call his office but never received a call back. I cannot believe he did not call me back that he did not get my messages but my husband feels the doctor said whatever it took to get me out of the office that day. This makes me more determined to prove I did not do cocaine. Please tell me how you resolved it with?

I really wish I/we could all know how it went?

In these forums people ask questions that are timely for them - but there is little to No Follow up information for those that come by latter seeking the same information.
This particular Post was written in 2012.
It is 2015 as I write this tonight - and I very much would like to know how this situation resolved its self in the end.

If this reaches you - I'm not even sure if it will be seen or sent to you or if you even have the same email address - or if you even Left One at all.
But if you would,- and other people would - let us know the end result it'd be great for those who trickle in years after the post-date.
people like me seeking these same type of answers.


Also... If it in actuality was Not a falser positive but you Needed It To Be possible..
Were you able to cause enough reasonable doubt? and How were you able to do that?
Remember.. There is NO Judgement Here! - and if ever you hear something sounding even the tiniest bit condescending, they are the exception as the rest of us come here because we didn't want one (or several depending) choices to affect everything else. Not if a chance exists to squeek through - and hopefully to remember that fear as one more reason to stay clean or to Prove we've been clean all along!

Also It even STATES On The Boxes.. That results are only a Guide.. and that they are Not conclusive. All POS Results Must Be Confirmed by a Lab. Demand your right to this. Have the Urine sent out for Lab Testing.

unless of course you used speed, in which case you've at least bought yourself a few days to plan your next move.
