False Positive Drug Test Oxazepam (Page 2)

Hi, I'm in an opiate treatment methadone program.... I showed up positive for oxazepam, but my medications are clonazepam, fluoxetine, hydroxyzine, and testosterone cypionate.... They reduced my dose by ten milligrams and said I must be taking other drugs but I am not.... Is there a reason it showed up as that? What info can I use to fight it at my clinic?

Clonazepam a.k.a. Klonopin and various other spellings.

Is a Schedule 4 Narcotic

It is a BENZODIAZEPINE class drug. Same class as Valium, Xanax, Librium, etc. etc.

You SHOULD NOT be taking this drug! NEVER!

It will KILL you!

It potentiates the effect of Methadone, causing breathing problems, and various other central nervous system side effects. You perfectly well know that you should not be taking it, as long as you have been a Methadone patient.

I am prescribed methadone, klonopin and bus par. Also cymbalta and doxepin. My UA came back positive for oxazapam, which clinic says I took Valium. I was admin. discharged after 7 years because of this. I did not take a Valium and clinic refuses to do a retest. My life is falling apart over this. What can I do?

ox is a metabolite of the benzo youre on already!!! the lab and who ever admin the test know this as well!

The same thing just happened to me. I go to a Methadone clinic in PA. Ive been there for 10yrs & NEVER gave them any problems. However, since we got a new nurse last sept ive lost my privledges 5times over stupid reasons.I had a drug screen on tues & yesterday they said oxazepam was in my system. The only thing I take is klonopin, neurotin & of course methadone. The nurse insisted I took something else..serax, temezepam or valium. BUT I DIDN'T!!! Of course they dont believe me bc all they see is a lying junky. Ive been clean from all street drugs & meds that arent prescribed to me for 10 yrs now but they still see a druggie. I would LOVE to know how the oxazepam got into my system. If u found ANYTHING out about this PLZ let me know! Id be very appreciative & grateful. Thank you!!

They same thing just happened to me. I go to a methadone clinic & I take prescribed klonopin. My random drug screen for the month came back today and they said oxazepam was in my system. The nurse told me I had to have taken valium...BUT I DIDNT!!! Did u ever get an answer? Im so upset iver this!!!!
