False Negative On Oxycodone Urinalysis
UpdatedI was prescribed 10/325 percocet to be taken every 6 hours as need for my chronic low back pain. Every time I have gone to the doctor; however, my urinalysis was returned as negative, even though I was on the medication. I am currently also taking Norethindrone 10 mg/day, Xanax 1mg 4/day, Librium 3/day, and Mitrazapene 45mg per day. The doctor had to stop prescribing me pain medicine due to the state regulations on negative urine tests. My question is, could any of the other medications I am on be interfering with the test and causing a false negative? I have recently been accused of selling the meds, which is completely NOT the case. I take them as prescribed, yet am suffering due to inaccurate urine testing. Any suggestions??

False positives and negatives are known to occur on the cheaper, non-certified tests anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time.
Another problem you may be running into is that you levels may be off and not registering as much as they expect they should, according to your health, body weight and how much you have been prescribed. This would return the same as a negative test.

As to having to cut you off due to this, that is not actually true, the government doesn't require this type of testing, that is purely a requirement of your doctor. The only time the government requires it is in certain situations, such as for certain jobs, or if you are under a court order.
Have you been drinking a lot more fluids than normal, or more active than usual?
I have a urine drug test tomorrow and only have one of my 5/325 oxy coding be cause I think my 18 year old son stole them when I was out. And I called the police but they said they cant do anything because there was no proof. So my question is will the pill show up in my system if I take it in the morning I dont want to have my doctor take me off of them because I do need them for a bad car accident I was in.
