Artesunate is part of the artemisinin group of drugs that treat malaria. It is a semi-synthetic derivative of artemisinin that is water-soluble and may therefore be given by injection.

A young woman has had lung cancer which has now recurred & she has been given one year to live. She was told about Artesunate as treatment for cancer & is desperate to try it. She lives in the UK where it is not available. It seems to be available only in India.
