Fake Orlistat Capsules (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Hello Everyone

Just wanted to let you all know that you need to be aware of fake Orlistat pills being offered for sale as generics to Alli. I bought what I thought were generic Alli 120mg but was sent blue capsules filled with a white powder instead. I know for a fact that the active ingrediant in Alli (Orlistat), is actually small white bead-type drug. So, what is this powder? Only God knows! I've written my letter of complaint to the on-line pharmacy concerned, but no reply. I will see about getting my money back.

same here I am my monthly cycle got really screwed up with them also.. I am stopping immediately I PURCHEASED EXACTLY THE SAME. WITHTHE SAME RESULTS.. GLAD TO KNOW THAT IT IS ONLY CORNSTARCH

I just finished up 90 ct 120mg "Orlistat" purchased thru Botanics Asia, and there is no way this product is anywhere near as effective as Alli. I took 3 Alli (60mg) per day, and the passage of fat thru the stool was obvious. The weight came off very effectively. With this medication, there is no appreciable difference, even though the dosage is twice what Alli offers. I will be seeking a refund.

Where do you get off accusing people they are lying when they obviously have the TRUTH from a PHARMACIST! The boxes have the manufacturer's website listed, viocore.com, which has a credible looking front page, but the site Scamadviser indicates that the viocore.com site is only 151 Days old. Everyone affected should file a compliant with Internet Crime Complaint Center at: ic3.gov/default.aspx.

I also purcahsed 120mg "Orlistat" thru Botanics Asia. Sorry folks. It is NOT Orlistat. I also complained to Simone and threatened to send the remaining product to the FDA for analysis. He refunded my money and paid the huge "certified mail" shipping fees back to Thailand. And the Vicore website looks great except none of the links work - another scam.

I purchased viocore Orlistat, actually 2 orders of 120mg capsules, I am used to taking Alli before it was taken out of the shelf, but i am not seeing any results, like the one i used to with Alli that really contains Orlistat, I have to agree this product I think is a fake, i feel so bad, so cheated that I had to pay 79 dollars twice for this product. I'll try to get my money back. Anyone tried to get a refund thru PayPal?

I did receive a refund a full refund and if this worked for you, then more power to you hope it is all of what you desire. But no need in insulting frustrated people who didnt have the same luck and truely believe that the product is garbage and I truely mean that.

I am with the majority - I think its a fake - the only thing it does is clean you out real good - no oily stools - this does not work - and needs to come off the market - Has anyone seen amazon advertisment for Alli - almost 900 dollars are they for real!!!!!

I tried to get my refund by Paypal and the shipping back to Indonesia is between 60-80$ ....So it does not make sense. I lost the money on Fake pills.

The Orlistat from Botanics Asia is fake. I'm out $70.00 for a product that does not work, whatever it contains it is not 100% Orlistat. Whatever it does contain has caused me to be constipated. I reported them to the FDA.

Hello, I bought 120 mg of 30 pills of VioCore Orlistat from botanics. and I have had AWFUL side effects of SEVERE BLOAT/GAS SO BAD that I BLOW up & Cannot even bend or move at waist... I bloat out and so hard as if I am 6 months pregnant... These pills are big capsules blue/lightblue FILLED with Powder ingredients say orlistat and sulpher powder as well as sodium starch but tastes just like corn starch... are these for real or fake... has anyone else had any issues?? how can I tell these are for real also I ate Lots fat with them to see and No oily stools what so ever... so it's telling me FAKE?? any thoughts... anyone know where to get Real stuff?? PLEASE HELP!! Thanks!!

I used to get Viocore orlistat when I was stationed in Germany with the Army and never had any problem. Looking at an old box I bought 18 months ago there, the back of the boxes do not say cornstarch or sodium, but say orlistat 120mg and microcrystalline cellulose as the mixer.

Viocore may be a legitimate company selling legitimate products - but the Orlistat products from Asia, via the Internet are BOGUS and do NOT contain Orlistat. Period.

Yes. I ordered same med from botanicsasia. I'm positive it is NOT orlistat. I have taken real med before and know the side effects. Tried to get refund with no luck.

I absolutely agree with John M and Justamommy, the product is fake and not Orlistat. I actually opened a capsule and tasted it, it is definitely CORN STARCH or a similar product. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

I contact Simon at BotanicsAsia and told him what I thought and he told me to return the products and he would give my monies back. The only problem is the product is sold in 45 count at $77.99 each and if I don't have the full amount to send back then I won't get a refund as it has been part used. The other thing is the cost for me to return and track is over $65 - just not worth the hassel to return.

I received viocore Orlistat in the mail 4 days ago. I purposely ate something high in fat and took the capsule. And continued to take it with each meal afterwards. First two days: nothing. I did however noticed that I was having more bowel movements than usual. I have been without any authentic Orlistat for about a month. Then on the third day, I finally had a bm that had oily discharge in it.

I have used alli until it went off market. Then I got a prescription version of it called xenical, and had been using that until my insurance no longer covered it. I've been getting xenical from canadadrugs (still needed a prescription) but my MD says I no longer qualify the requirements that meets a prescription...meaning after my script expires or runs out of refills, I no longer can get anymore xenical from the u.s. Or Canada. I saw that these viocore Orlistat was my next best bet at getting Orlistat without a script, and a very nice price at that.

My review: the capsules work, but definitely not the same as alli or xenical. I don't think it is as "strong" and may not give everyone the same results as they got from alli. My husband has used alli as well in the past, but these pills has not been giving him the same results. He has been getting diarrhea, along with small about of oily bowels. When taking alli, he always had oily farts, but with these, no "accidents" at all yet. We've only been taking these capsules for 5 days. We saw no instant results, like we usually do with alli or xenical.

But overall, they do work......and is probably your best replacement for alli until it's back on the shelf. You can get "xenical" or Orlistat capsules from canadadrugs and I can vouche that those are authentic and works wonders, but you'll need a doctor prescription, they are also more expensive than these viocore Orlistat.

Considering you took 240mg compared to 60mg at one time. Good for you that you had the side effects. Some of us did not. When you have to take more than your recommended dose to get results that is not working and possibly dangerous. This is a drug that can cause liver damage so take care increasing your dose just to prove some "cackling hens" wrong.
