Hello Everyone Just wanted to let you all know that you need to be aware of fake Orlistat pills being offered for sale as generics to Alli. I bought what I thought were generic Alli 120mg but was sent blue capsules filled with a white powder instead. I know for a fact that the active ingrediant in Alli (Orlistat), is actually small white bead-type drug. So, what is this powder? Only God knows! I've written my letter of complaint to the on-line pharmacy concerned, but no reply. I will see about getting my money back.

We have established that many people selling orlistat are actually selling Sibutramine. I have fallen into that trap twice and am not sure about what I even bought at this point. [powder] Where can you find real orlistat? Somewhere you don't have to take out a bank loan to get the product.

yes, drug manufacturers don't have to use the same manufacturing process when making medications, but I've read on drug information websites that there are fakes being made from Sibutramine, which can also be in the form of a white powder, and has a totally different action to Orlistat.

Sorry to hear about your experience when ordering this medication.

However, it is important to note that not all manufacturers are going to use the same manufacturing process when making any given medication.

Rather than the bead type, they may use a different release formulation when they make theirs. There is nothing in the law that says they have to make their the same way that everyone else does.

All they have to do is make sure it works in the same manner.
