Failed Test At Doctors Office But I Take My Meds

I have been going to my doctor for 10 years. I've been prescribed hydrocodone for about 8 of those years. I am also prescribed Xanax and an antidepressant called Abilify. For the past year or so I've been having to take periodic urine tests when I get my prescriptions filled. Sometimes he does it two or three visits in a row. Sometimes he won't do it three or four times in a row.

I took a pee test last month but I have gone to the bathroom before going to the doctor and was only able to provide them a very small urine sample. When I went to the doctor today I did a pee test I'm going to doctor came in the room he started shuffling through some papers and telling me there was an issue with my last pee test and I came up negative for everything. I pressed him on it. And he said I was negative for Xanax which is impossible because I take it every night. He prescribes me 60 Xanax per month. Some days I will only take one and some days I take two.

My doctor did NOT cut me off on the spot. He told me that if everything is cool with the test that I took today then I can come back next week and get the prescription for the rest of my medication.

This is really weird to me. I think it has to be because of the small urine sample I gave them but I don't really know. I do know I took Xanax last night and took two Norco 10/325's today before my doctor's appointment spaced out over about 9 hours.

I have to believe that my doctor believes me. I don't think he wouldn't have sent me away with anything, much less a 10 day supply.

I value any opinion anybody might have. Has anyone ever heard of a situation like this before?

Today I get to find out if I'm getting cut off of my meds for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I've been reading a lot about my doctors office online and learned a lot of interesting things. Apparently the office likes to mess things up a lot. Handing people the wrong prescriptions, putting the wrong dates on prescriptions so they are impossible to fill etc etc.

I took myself down from 40 norco 10's a day to 1. I have a total of 75 Norco tens and if I learned today that I am cut off I'm going to take One A Day for a while and then break him in half and start takimg a half of one a day before finally quitting completely and finding another way to deal with my ailments.

I figure I will take .5 a day for a week or two.

I have no idea what withdrawal will be like from that but I assume it won't be as intense as a lot of these people who take 30 pills a day.

Is anybody else has any similar experiences not appreciate a comment.
