Fiorinal Tablets Generic Or Fiorinal Not Available, Why?

I called Westward/Actavis, emailed FDA. All say it was a business decision to keep capsules not tablets. Tablets work better. No heads up stopped in 2013. I can't even find any leftovers which must be somewhere? Call Westward 856-424-3700. Maybe if we overwhelm them w/calls, they will see there is a BIG Market for this drug and start making it again. It's worth a try.

Hey Patty,

Overwhelming them with calls/request letters may unfortunately be one of the only ways to get their attention about people wanting Fiorinal tablets back. If they say it was a business decision to keep capsules, my guess is that it was probably because they were cheaper for them to manufacture that way. But when we as both consumers and patients aren't satisfied with a product, it would probably take hundreds if not thousands of complaints to have the type of impact that you're looking for. Have you also considered starting a petition?

CVS can't get them anywhere. Only the capsules. If I had to guess, the answer is simple: MONEY. The capsules are much more expensive than the tablets. My internet searches reveal that those that have tried the capsules say they don't work as well as the tablets.
