Galeen, what Canadian company do you use, and how do you go about ordering from them? The generic bupropion (by Actavis) that my mail order co sent last time is definitely NOT working like my old generic was. I'm very dizzy and "out of it" in the morning after taking it, and so exhausted in the afternoons.
How strange! TEVA brand budeprion 100 SR mg is the one that worked like magic for me after years of nothing else working to relieve serious depression! I am so sad that they are no longer making it!
I need a good alternative. Anyone know of one!
I want ot buy just the purple pill made by glaxco for wellbutrin. I had the generics and was made so sick with no relief. I think the generics damaged my muscles. HOw can I purchase the 150 xl that is acutally made by Glaxco?I can get a script written DAW but the cost is a lot here in the US. any suggestions?
Yes, TEVA is pulling the 300 mg buproprion because it was never tested and has been proven ineffective since patients began complaining in 2007. Now the other four manufacturers are to begin testing their generic 300 mg xl versions. TEVA and the FDA figured since the 150 mg version worked (which I don't believe because I also took that and it fell short of the brand name and caused all kinds of problems) there was no need to test the 300 mg XL tablets. I'm wondering if there will now be a class action lawsuit for all of the patients who suffered the unthinkable side effects of being on the generic and no one listened to us until 6 years later. I think our insurance should at least cover the Brand name Wellbutrin at the generic price since the generic has proven to be grossly ineffective. Even if the manufacturers "improve" the generic I will never trust them again. If need be, I will continue to go purchase the Brand name from the reputable Canadian pharmacy I have been using. Shame on the U.S. government, FDA and pharmaceutical companies who are just plain greedy for the sake of the almighty dollar.
They left Teva's 150mg Xl formulation on the market and said it was bioequivalent but I see anecdotal concerns about that on the boards too. I've just been prescribed that and will try it but I am wary. Taking it with lexapro for GAD and hoping it will help for lex side effects and mild ADD. Any insights or advice?
For anyone looking for information on this, it is referring to the product from one specific manufacturer, not all generics that are on the market.
The one they have found to not be equivalent is the one manufactured by Teva and marketed by Impax.
Thank you, LadyluckVA for posting the information, it is much appreciated.
I just wanted to clarify so that people taking tablets made by a different company don't panic thinking they have a problem. :-)
The ones under concern are sold under the name Budeprion and they are the 300mg time released ones.
Additionally, Impax and Teva have voluntarily stopped manufacturing and shipping the product, plus they asked the FDA to remove its approval.

Does anyone have any questions?
