Can I uses amoxicillin to kill the infection in my mouth until I see my dentist?

Hi Beth,

My research shows that Amoxicillin can be used to treat dental infections. In fact, it's actually one of the first-line treatment options that dentists use for these types of infections, so you should be fine using it in that regard.

Unfortunately I can't tell you proper dosing information, since those details are usually given to you by your doctor/dentist.
However, you'd likely have to have enough Amoxicillin to finish a full-course of treatment (which is generally 7-10 days), in order to completely destroy all the bacteria.
