Hi. I have had the implanon since 2012. It is now due to be removed. It was expired on april 28, 2015. Today is september 12 2015 and I still have it. I got my first menstrual since march on sep. 2015. Is the implanon officially done working? Should I be worried? Am I healthy?

My wife is currently on inflanon and was due to be removed in June 18 and its july now should we be worried for pregnancy and she always menstruated on 01 of each month and on 01 June she did go on menstruation ??

My nexplanon expires tomorrow June 16th 2017 but my appt to remove it isn't till October will it stop working once it expires tomorrow. ? Please help me answer this question. I'm so confused about it. !!!

Hi there I have 3 months left before my implant runs out. My periods have been quite regular until oct/Nov were I wud be 3/4 days late no longer how ever I have not had a period since my last period 28th December. Mid January I have noticed my appetite is back which is very different cause I stopped eating much i lost weight when i went on it.now Im constantly hungry my belly has bloated up Im gaining weight, I have taken 4 pregnancy test but I'm not satisfied as last time I was pregnant I had negative results up until I was 12 weeks gone. I'm not sure if I'm paranoid... help

I removed my jadella in September 2016 but I can not fall pregnant. This is January 2017 but not yet pregnant. What should I do, please help!

Hi. I'm a 22 year old female. I've had the implant for 6 years (I had it changed out 3 years ago) and the current one I have has expired. I had unprotected sex the day it expired but I've been using protection since. I haven't had my period the entire time the implant was active but I got my period for the first time last week. It was a weird dark red almost brown color, it was very light, with a lot of clots. This week my boobs are very sore and tender to touch, so bad that I'm avoiding wearing a bra or laying on my stomach. My question is, is it possible that I could be pregnant or is this just normal for the implant expiring?

It may still be releasing some hormones in your body, plus once it's expired, it can take a couple months for your body to adjust and for your natural hormones to take back over and things to return to normal.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Implanon as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain and PMS-like symptoms.
