Expired Implanon (Page 2)
UpdatedHi. I have had the implanon since 2012. It is now due to be removed. It was expired on april 28, 2015. Today is september 12 2015 and I still have it. I got my first menstrual since march on sep. 2015. Is the implanon officially done working? Should I be worried? Am I healthy?
I had my birth control implanted in 2009 and had it removed Nov 2017. It was five years expired. I did have my period off and on till I had it taken out. Now I'm trying to have a baby and haven't had my period yet but I have had pains like as if I was on my period but nothing. Someone please help me. I just need to know before I need to make an appointment with the Dr.

I've just recently had my inplanon removed I got it in Dec 2010 and had it removed Dec 2017 i actually forgot I was suppose to have it removed.... Needless to say it was 4years expired and I did not get pregnant I was also told that the hormones still release in your body well after the 3 to 4years are up!
Re: Elizabeth (# 16)
My doctor said that the FDA has all the birth controls for three years or the minera for 5 years for it to expire so that patients can keep changing it and the company that makes them gets money for making and selling them and which it actually has more hormones in the birth control than what it actually says, because in other countries they have it for more years...but I think it’s all in how your body absorbs it!!!

Hi may I know if your really pregnant? I'm having the same symptoms also
Re: Dree (# 15)
If you can’t afford to get it removed you shouldn’t try to get pregnant. A baby is way more expensive than trying to get an implanon removed duhh

Have you fell pregnant yet? As I’m in the same boat as you,
