Expired Gabapentin 300 Mg (Top voted first)

I found a bottle of my Gabapentin dated 3/8/2011. Should I throw them away or can i take them cause i no longer have insurance?

This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it can lose efficacy, so it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. Thus it would be best to dispose of it and see a doctor for a new prescription.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain.
