Expired Famotidine Ok To Take?

I have a prescription of Famotidine dated 02/06/06. I wonder if they are still usable?

Not in the US. Most prescriptions are generally only good for up to a year, but most pharmacies will not take them past a few months.

If the medicine has crossed the expiry date,pl. throw it. In India, the expiry date for Femotidine is three years from the date of manufacture.
