Exalgo 5 16mg A Day With Dilaudid 8mg For Breakthough

For the past year I have been taking Exalgo 16mg 5 pills in the morning with 8mg of Dilaudid for b/t pain. I had a severe back injury 4 yrs. ago. In the past I have taken Oxyicontin w/roxy & Mophine Sulfate w/a low dose morphine for b/t . Each pair for a little over a year. The Oxycontin was the best for my pain, I was able to function better. I transformed from an ambitious friendly person to a fowl mouthed demon. Awful!! Morphine after 1 1/2 years and losing five teeth, I was sure I had Alzheimers. I had no recall, couldn't remember names or how to do things. Now on Exalgo w/Dilaudid for b/t. It does not give me great pain relief but mentally I am close to normal, except for the depression, I cannot shake, for 3 years now. Please I need help with getting a new prescription. I cannot get insurance anymore and I cannot afford Exalgo at $3,200. a month. Please share your success with me on your pain regime. My wonderful doctor whom I love wants to put me on a pain patch and keep me on the Dilaudid for b/t. I sweat terrible and fear it will fall off and my dogs will get it and die. I had a bad reaction from one 4 years ago and I am afraid to give it a try. Any suggestions my fellow pain sufferers? I have total faith in my pain physician but would love to hear your success with your regime. Thank you.

What type of reaction did you have to the patch years ago?

And as to the fears of it falling off, there are solutions for that, such as waterproof medical tape and others.
