Estratest Is Back

I had to change hormone treatments as Estratest was taken off the market. I have been taking estradiol for a year now and was not happy with it. Last week I had to see my doctor for yearly visit and guess what?...Estratest IS back on the market. The same dark green pills as before and I am ecstatic. I have my prescription filled at our local CVS instead of Wal Mart, where I always seemed to get partial script. Hopefully now I will get my libido back and the relationship I used to have with my husband. Just wanted to let other women out there know that Estratest is truly back!!
I feel wonderful on this medication. They unwxpectedly had me see a different doctor today he said he is not comfortable prescribing estratest. When I told him I feel great he said "I bet you do". Does anyone have advice?
I will never understand why our medicines are messed with so much. Never are WE the user ever notified of removals or changes. This green pill was the only help I got from hot flashes depression mood swings etc. Men get their pills for libido but when a woman needs help a blind eye is turned. Estratest worked. Why the shakeup?
I just started with this drug on Sunday. Expensive but I have found a coupon. It cost me 39.00 at Walgreens for 1 month and it's I believe 120.00 for 3 months. This beats $400! Thankful the pharmacy tech told me about it!
I have been on Estratest and the generic for 23 years. No problems at all
Please let me know your insurance company.I am retired and on Medicare. Mine is Omaha and they will not pay for it at all. Walmart is filling mine at $390. per 90 script. I can not afford to continue, but my husband insist I find a way to get it...and for less if I can. It works!!! I have my libido back and moods under control......Life is so much better! Why won't insurance co. cover such an important drug! It is prescribed not just something we pick up off the shelf! If you have a pharmacy that fills it for less please let me know!
I've been taking estratest for 25 yrs now & ive had no problems with it at all!!!!! My male dr was wonderful & very empathetic about my libido problem. My husband is very grateful that he prescribed them for me. I will b forever thankful. They work & I wish other woman knew about them. PS: my insurance pays for it. $29 as opposed to $110 a month when UPMC did not pay for it. They may now since its back.
The price keeps increasing all the time... I was at Walmart for about $55 for 3 months in Feb. 2016 - then it went to over $200 this year so I went to CVS for $110 for 3 months......Walmart had gone to about $300....
Are you buying it now? My 90 day supply is $300 at Rite Aid!
My doctor gave it to me 25 yrs ago & I love it. Without it I'm depressed, have vaginal dryness, no libido at all, hot flashes like crazy, moody to a point that I don't want to talk to anyone & all because I had a complete hysterectomy & was thrown into surgery induced menopause! Horrible! I'm so appreciative that my doctor (a woman) understands what I was going thru. My opinion is that drug companies don't concentrate on female problems like they do male problems!!! Thank you. P.S: my husband thanks my doctor (a woman) all the time??
I just called Walmart and they do have it. I was on it for 14 yrs been off for 4 yrs and now going back on it wish I never stopped.
So...is estratest available in US in 2016 or not? Any one have issues with breast cancer after taking estratest
I totally agree with you. Men had the choice of erectile meds. Insurance even paid for it! Women, please believe what we are saying. This medicine levels out your moods and DEFINITELY helps restore your libido at an old age. Try an RX Savings Card if your prescription is too expensive. Walmart filled mine this time with the entire 90 day refill.
I was on Estratest D.S. for over thirty years. It gave me my life back. Some of the benefits were beautiful skin, normal bone density scan, renewed interest in life, and best of all, a VERY healthy libido. Unfortunately men's erectile dysfunction has a far greater projected earning capacity than a drug that benefits second class citizens. Women don't count in this country but take away a man's ability to live a great life far into the golden years, by that I mean a vibrant sex life. We women who feel that we deserve the same benefits as men are discounted. Do you want to live with no true joy and just breathe until you stop or do you want to be the vibrant human being that God meant us to be? When the FDA took Estratest off of the market I lost me and all the potential for a fulfilled and joyous life that is a true gift. I also lost great skin, the ability to have a good night's sleep, normal bone density, fifteen pounds of important muscle and a VERY healthy libido. I am 77 years young and not wealthy but I am not giving up my quest for EEMT and none of you should either!!!
I've been on estratest for about 5 years....I love it.....My libido was declining and now it's back to where it was..... Insurance does not pay - but with an RX Savings Card I can get a 3 month supply for $55 at Walmart..... Best drug ever....
I had my total hysterectomy almost 2 years ago. And after the first few months it was horrible. I was placed on estradiol and that didnt help. Also gained 20lbs. I tried everything. Now almost 2 years later I was talking to my doctor that I felt great. No sweats, mood swings. Im at a really good place. Other than I have NO libido in the least. So she wrote me a script for Estratest. And I'm really scared of it because of weight gain. Or other side effects. Anyone have any input that might help me decide on this.
Thank you so much!!
I've only been on Estratest - although I hear Covaryx is the same - but some people don't get the same reaction to it.....
I am having the same problem with libido. I was put on Covaryx, and the new year update on insurance, brought the amount to $130 to fill. I had to stop taking it. My Dr. says there isn't a replacement, so i researched and found this chat forum. Is Estratest the same thing or is it similar? I see the Dr. tomorrow morning and i need to find a replacement for Covaryx. Help.
What Insurance Co. do you have? Mine will not pay anything
My insurance does not cover it either.... I get mine at Walmart - 3 months for about $55. That's a great price.
Please tell me the name of your Insurance Company. Mine does not cover Estratest. Is Estratest available now?
