Espiride Causes Parkinsons Disease
UpdatedI was told by a neurologist that Espiride can cause Parkinson's disease. Is this so?

No, there is no way to definitively say that any medication can cause it. According to U.S. FDA and NIH reports, the exact causes are still unknown and research is ongoing. Some medications may aggravate the symptoms, but predominantly there is an underlying neurological issue that must be in place, in order for other environmental factors, such as lifestyle and medications, to cause it to erupt, or worsen. Most commonly, it is known to be diagnosed in people over 60 years old, but sometimes, it has shown up in people as young as 40.
Is there anything else I can help with?
