Erection Problems With Bp Meds.

I have been taking Atenol for blood preasure, I have been having issues with erections and maintaining them. the Doctor changed my medication to Lasartan and stated I should see an improvement. Has anyone had this issue while taking Atenol and did it improve with the use of Larsartan

Erectile dysfunction can be a problem with virtually all blood pressure/cardiac medications.

It may improve with the Losartan, but the only way to find out is to try it and see. If it doesn't improve after you've been on it for about a month, then you may have to try something else.

It's really a matter of trial and error to find one that works well for you, without causing problematic side effects like this. I had a lot of problems with several of them myself and had to switch a few times, until we finally found a good combination.

Are you also watching your diet and making sure that you get lots of exercise to help control your BP? That can help lower the amount of medication you may need to take.
