Epival /what Are The Effects Of 20 Years Of Daily Pills?

Have been taking 250 mg capsules 4 and now three
times per day for 20 years for seizures that started at
35 yrs. due to pregnancy.Baby was fine but seizures
continued though now, with pills not for many years.
Should I try and reduce and end to try something else
as I am 60 yrs. old now.

Hi Cindy,

I think it's great that you are reassessing the situation and are open to suggestions. From an outside perspective, I would only continue to take the medication if natural alternatives and/or healthy dietary changes are not conducive options.

I would also consider getting blood work done or any other type of health evaluation to determine if this medication is having a negative effect on your overall well-being. Listen to your body and go with your gut on whether or not it is negatively impacting your life in some way and compare it to other options and how those options may impact your life.
