Epitrel Acido Compared To Reacel-a?

I have a tube of Reacel-A (Tretinoina Crema .05 g/100g.), which a friend bought for me last year in Mexico.
My Dermatologist tells me it is the same thing as US product Retin-A. I have used it for a year and had no problem.
My friend this year was not able to find this exact tube in Mexico and bought Epitrel Acido Retinoico Crema .05.
My question is: Is this tube just like my last year's tube from Mexico?

Hi Traveling Lady,

Based on my research, the Epitrel Retinoic acid cream you received contains Retinoic acid (0.5 %) as the active ingredient. Retinoic acid is basically the same thing as Tretinoin. This cream may contain different "inactive" ingredients, since it was most likely manufactured by a different company. However, it seems as though the active ingredient is the same. Just use as directed and pay attention to any changes -positive or negative.

Someone else suggested that Retin-A is available for a much cheaper price than the one I bought from HENDRIKS SCIENTIFIC, USA in which I paid $25 plus the $5 shipping fee folr only one tube!. This is a really good buy for this! 6 tubes for only US$ 24.27 !!!!!

I just got back from a cruise to Cozumel last night and I bought 3 tubes of the Reacel-A for $15 each at one of the little pharmacy shops on the main strip downtown. A friend of mine told me she found the Retin-A a few months ago for only $10 each, but I could not locate the store she described to me. (RetinoA .05)

I have 5 tubes of Reacel-A from Mexico, & the directions are in spanish. Can you tell me how often this should be used. And are there any side affects.

I bought a tube of Reacel-A this year and initially had no problems. However, I now have a burning sensation around my eyes whenever I apply it so I stopped using it. Unfortunately, I'm now getting the same results with any other eye balm I try using. I need to see a dermatologist to figure out what is wrong, but I wonder if it has anything to do with my using Reacel-A?

I just went 3 weeks ago to Cozumel and bought 3 tubes at 9.00$ a tube. The strength was 0.050%.Im very happy with the product.

If you've discontinued the use I don't think it has anything to do with the cream. My question to you is: We're you applying it directly below you eye? If so no retina-a product should go there. You will get irritation and wrinkly skin. I did the same thing years ago. After I discontinued applying there my skin went back to normal in a few weeks.
