Epidural Block Shots

I have just been diagnosed with two bulging disks in
My neck and my doctor has set me up to have 3 epidural shots, I'm kind of nervous because for one, I'm scared of needles, and years ago I had an allergic reaction to a cortisone shot in my knee, however I agreed to give the shots a try because the pain I'm experiencing is unbearable. Has anyone had these shots, did they work, and what should I expect? Thanks for any info in advance!

Do you know the specific details on these shots?

Are they definitely more cortisone? Because if you had an allergic reaction to it once, then trying it again isn't a very good idea, because the risk of your having another one is increased.

No, my doctor told me he would use something different but I'm still worried about having a reaction. Wondering if it will be worth it, I'm in a good amount of pain but am scared too, I have another appointment with my PM Dr before I have my first shot and will discuss it with him again then I'm just looking for some others experiences with the shots

I have had e sets of epidurals plus one set of facet blocks for 2 herniated discs and one bulging disc, I found no relief, and the shots were so painful, I had no allergic reaction, but no relief either. Good luck to you, I hope everything goes ok.
