My Dr. prescribed me Enzypride for flatulence and IBS. I would just like to know about its side effects. Thank you.

Sorry, this medication is not available in the US and, unforunately, I cannot find any information on it.

Have stomach pains and used different meds for it in the past,recently i have had high cholesterol,and have changed my diet, done exercise and is off of Lipotor. My Doctor has just prescribed enzypride.
What are the side effcts

Enzypride contains pancreatic enzymes, which aid digestion; dimethylpolysiloxane which is made from silicone but has carminative (anti-flatulence) effects; and bromopride (not available in the U.S.), which has anti-nausea and gastric-emptying effects.
It is manufactured by Merck and the only side-effect is that it may cause somnolence (sleepiness).
I used it for the first time in Honduras and have found it extremely helpful when recovering from food poisoning and after taking antibiotics. It is not sold in the U.S. so stock up when you travel or have some one bring it to you.

Dr. I have a pill and I don't remember for what they prescribe it for me. I only have the details of the drug. first, it has a silver covering and its name is Enzypride. secondly, it is a white semy ovall pill lastly, it contains pancreatina 400 mg dimetilpolisiloxane 60mg, Bromopride 5mg, the reason I ask is because I suffer with gastritis. I wanted to know if this is the correct drug for it. thanks
