Endocet Costs 3-4x More Than Generic Percocet 10/325?

That's what my pharmacist told me today. Is that true? I tried googling around to see what drug's wholesale prices are for pharmacies but had no luck.

Another question is, why is Endocet a brand when in actuality it's a generic for Percocet? I don't get it.

Also, I'm beginning to suspect Endocet isn't so great as we may have thought...

It is not a generic, Endocet is a name brand for a specific dosage of a medication containing Oxycodone and Acetaminophen.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

If you research Vicodin, you will discover that under different dosages, and from different manufacturers, the combination of Acetaminophen, and Hydrocodone, is available under other brand names, as well, such as Lorcet, and Lortab.

The same is true of many other medications.
