I've taking Enalapril 20 mg nightly for over eighteen month. Suddenly I've noticed pounding heart at night, an d chest pains developed to the point I went ER. After a day admission and a bunch of testing they cleared me of problem. Came home have my prescribed dosis and the symptoms returned. Any thoughts of experiences with Enalapril, please?

HI, sorry about the issues you're having. That's terrible.
And yes, it could be an adverse reaction to the Enalapril. Technically, it should help with such issues, but most medications are capable of causing the opposite of their intended effect in some people that try them.
However, another question is, do you regularly monitor your blood pressure? What was it when you went to the ER?
The symptoms could also be caused by your blood pressure going too low or too high.
How much fluid do you drink daily? Dehydration could also cause lower blood pressure and the symptoms you've described.
