this drug was given and was told to drink twice a day but no further instruction like on how many days to be taken. pls reply asap

Embatrim Forte is reported to contain Sulfamethoxazole 800 mg + Trimethoprim 160 mg (also known as Co-trimoxazole).

I have been taking Embatrim for 2 days already, cause last week I was diagnosed with a UTI. Recently, my menstrual period arrived when I wasn't expecting it. So is it okay if I continue taking Embatrim during this period? Or should I stop first and continue after the menstrual period?
