Effient Causing A Strong Medicinal Breath

Updated October 20, 2022

I am taking effient and have been for 6 weeks following a cardiac arrest and implementation of a bare metal stent in the LAD. It is determined that I am allergic to plavix and thus was prescribed effient. Has anyone complained of a very strong medicinal breath that I am unable to treat with constant brushing and mouthwash?

I don't see it listed among the side effects, but such an issue is usually possible with most medications. The typical side effects include risk of bleeding, fatigue, headache, and peripheral edema.

Is this the only medication you are currently taking?

Have you consulted your doctor?

Have others noticed the breath issue, or just you?
