I was switch to Effient after having severe reaction to Plavix. Since being on Effient My hair has been falling out by the handfulls . The condition of my hair now (whats left of it) causes constant snarling and looks so pathetic I don't want to go anywhere. I have fine thin hair to begin with, now I have lost just about all of it. I have never experienced anything like this before and very disturbing when you've had beautiful blonde hair all your life. I am well under 130 pounds and wondered if 10mg was too strong and if it might help with this problem if the does was cut to 5mg. Has anyone else experienced such extrem hair loss from taking effient? And if/what you did about it? I am also very sleeping during the day and easily fall asleep unintenionally.

The tiredness and fatigue are listed by the FDA under the normal side effects of this medication. You may also experience nausea, headache and diarrhea.

However, I'm not seeing anything about the hair loss. Are you on any other medications? Have you altered your diet in any way? How old are you?
