Efficacy Of Oramorph After Being Open For 3 Months (Top voted first)
UpdatedCan i take Oramorph that has been open for more than 3 months, but is still within its expiration date? I got it for my knee pains about a year ago and it just flared up again, but i don't have time to go back to the hospital as i have exams.

I'd like to know the same as you about the date. Ours is a year or more old and opened. I'd like to know if there would be problems taking it.
Does the efficiently degrade or even make the mixture stronger.
Thanks.
Given that this is a liquid formulation, it is advisable that you not take it past the expiration. Liquid medication don't last as long as solid forms, and they may actually go rancid, and could make you ill, if you take them.
However, if it is within the expiration, it should still be fine to use.
The FDA warns that Oramorph carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Although it would be best to consult your respective doctors, before taking it, again.
Is there anything I can help with?
