Effects Of Mixing Antibiotics
UpdatedI have a UTI and was taking urovec with tetracycline for 1 day and the discomfort of the uti has not subsided at all! I want to switch over and start taking amoxicillin asap which has worked really well in the past. Are there any complications I should be aware of by starting the amoxicillin 4 hours after taking the urovec with tetracycline?

No, you can usually just make a smooth transition from one to the other.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
However, it does take more than one day for an antibiotic to work. Usually, you shouldn't see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours and you should see improvement after taking it for a full 3 days.
Is there anything else I can help with?
