My husband has been using AndroGel and I've been in contact with it. I'm 47 and I've noticed that some of my body hair has increased and is darker and there's more of it. This seems to be the only side effect. He's been careful as far as washing but obviously it's gotten onto my skin. I haven't noticed any other problems. Is this dangerous?

The biggest concern would be if you were intending to get pregnant, or are pregnant, because it can affect fertility and the baby.
However, as to just you, it's not dangerous in the respect that it puts your life in danger….but it can screw up your natural hormonal balance, which is evidenced by your hair growth, so you may also end up finding yourself feeling more irritable and aggressive, if you're still menstruating, you may experience irregularities.
Have you consulted your doctor about it?
