Ecosprin Av-75 With Aztor (Top voted first)

HI,my dad is taking ECOSPRIN AV 75 for past 2 weeks on his cardiologist's advice. He has also been taking Aztor for the past year and a half, prescribed by another doctor. Both are taken at night. Can these meds be taken together, as both contain 10mg atorvastatin. Is this considered a high dose and is it necessary? What is aspirin's role here?

The Aspirin is generally used for its blood thinning properties, it can help prevent heart attacks and strokes.

Are both of his doctors aware of all the medications he is taking?

If they are not, he may be doubling up needlessly. However, if they know about all of his medications, they may have decided that he needs the higher dosage.

Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol, can also be used to help prevent stroke.

I HAD A M I FOUR YEARS BACK NOW MY DOCTOR HAS ADVISED TO TAKE AMLOKIND AT AND ECOSPRIN 75.
