Early Period On Tri-previfem

In past months if I accidentally missed a pill, I would double up the next day, but then would have violent pains and vomiting. This past month, I accidentally missed a pill and decided to avoid the extreme illness (since I was probably throwing up the dose anyway), and I skipped the one I missed and went on to the next one. My period came a week early, and I have had spotting ever since, and now have an acne flare up. What does this mean and what should I do?

Hello, Sue! How are you?

That is normal, if you miss a tablet. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.

It may take a month, or so, for your hormones to balance back out and for things to return to normal. It's generally nothing to worry about, unless your doctor thinks there's reason to be concerned.

There is, however, a pregnancy risk whenever you miss a pill, so you need to be cautious of them.

Is there anything else I can help with?
