E Coli And Sporidex

I am 80 years old. My Urologist has asked me to take a 500 gm Sporidex everyday of my life due to my e coli condition. Please tell me if this is alright as I worry about possible dangerous side effects if I keep on taking a Sporidex every day.

Sporidex contains the active ingredient Cephalexin, it is an antibiotic and yes, there are some cases where a resistant infection requires them to be taken regularly.

There are some possible risks, such as developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, but there are far greater risks to just letting such an infection rage out of control.
