Duxil In Egypt

I have been told by my doctor that Duxil has been banned in Egypt due to the bad side effects is this true or not.

While the info I found is not relevant to Egypt, apparently it has been banned in China.

"The SFDA ordered the suspension of the production, sales and use of Duxil (almitrine and raubasine), a dementia drug from France’s Servier, due to its "unobvious" efficacy.

The SFDA said, clinical research found "little" evidence proving the drug effectively improves the cognitive ability for patients suffering vascular cognitive impairment. The drug was supposed to treat symptoms related to cognition and sensory nerve damage.

The moves came after a two-month nationwide campaign was launched earlier this month to probe the quality of essential drugs and ensure drug safety".

In my opinion it would be safe to say that it has been banned elsewhere if it has been banned in China. I can't confirm my opinion, but I don't think anyone would want to take a drug that has been banned anywhere for not doing its job.
