During My Lamivudine/zidovudine And Efarenz Medication, Take Ginseng?

During my Lamivudine/Zidovudine and Efarenz medication as a HIV patient take Ginseng and other kind of natural supliment or herbs?
I've been told that the medication won't work if I take American Ginseng or Korean Ginseng. Is it true?
