That's really just a sign of sleeping with your mouth open.
Have your sinuses been blocked? Have you had a cold recently? Or do you suffer from any nasal allergies?
If so, that could explain it, because if your nose is congested, so you can't breathe well through it, then you will open your mouth to breath, while sleeping and that would allow saliva to trickle out.
Have you consulted your doctor?
