Dry Mouth Bitter Taste When Eating Food

I took a generic drug store drug (omper) instead of Prilosec. When I eat food the first taste is fine but then when the food hits the back of my mouth it tastes awful. Has anyon had any side effects from the generic drug for Prilosec?

I can't really tell you anything about it, without knowing who the manufacturer is, but it could be that there was a different filler/inactive ingredient that caused the problem.

Only the active ingredient has to be the same, not the items that are considered inactive.

you are suppose to take it on an empty stomach and wait 30 mins before you eat.
