Dronis 30 Course Incomplete

i am a PCOS/PCOD patient, I had suffered a misscarriage in the 2nd month of my pregnancy and went for d&c
After that a month later the doctor suggested DRONIS 30 tablet as Pcod treatment, once in a day for 21 days from the 5th day of the menses.
I took the medicine Dronis 30 and on the first day i got headache and dizziness. I ignored it and then on the next day i took another tablet. On the second day i felt uneasy, light headedness and dizziness. Also felt a bit uncomfortable as far as my health is concerned. On taking the second tablet i couldn't sleep properly that night due to uneasy feeling, on the 3rd day to take the tablet i decided to stop taking the tablet completely. I am worried that stopping the medicine course midway would have any health effects? How will that affect my menses cycle and what happens if i leave a 21 day contraceptive course midway? Please let me know. Also how does a Contraceptive pill cure pcod/pcos and why did i get the side effects from the 2nd day itself of taking the medicine? Is there a substitute to it which doesn't have many side effects? Please help

Hello, Neeta! How are you? I am sorry about the problems you've had.

All medications carry the risk of causing side effects. What you listed can be normal for taking oral contraceptives, as reported by the U.S. FDA. They can also cause nausea, irritability, spotting and PMS-like symptoms.

You may experience an earlier period, since you stopped them mid cycle.

PCOS/PCOD can sometimes be corrected by balancing the woman's natural hormones back out.

Are you on any other medications?
