I've had 1 (1) rx of Vicodin & that is it! No history of ANY substance abuse! I work for the FAA. I am subject to taking drug panels all the time. I am a single mom of two college grads! I mean... Not that that makes me better... It's just that I feel like they think I'm some H addict coming in the office waisted... Wanting to feel high??? Seriously! I get why people turn to the street! My pain is so bad it's making me depressed, I can't work ... Any help in the KC area?

Hello, Mermaid! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.
Due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, to have such a medication prescribed, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist.
Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
The FDA classifies Vicodin as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
