Doxycycline, Is It Vegatarian

I'm vegetarian and need to take Doxycycline other then the gelatin capsule are there anymore animal ingredients in this product? Thank you.

Similar to what I've posted in response to your other questions on various drugs, this one is available as both a generic and quite a few brand names, therefore the inactive ingredients list can vary for each manufacturer and I can't list them all, especially since this one is available in several different forms, a liquid, a capsule and a tablet.

Just as an example, under the brand name Vibramycin, other than the active ingredient Doxycycline, the inactive ingredients in the capsules are listed as:

alginic acid, lactose, magnesium stearate, maize starch and sodium lauryl sulphate.

But, once again, this is only for that particular name brand.
