I am taking 400mg doxycycline a day. Having a terrible toothache. Don't have the money to remove the tooth as yet. Is this dosage safe to take cause it makes me feel real bad

I would say no. I am not certain of how long it takes but there is a Doxycycline specific ingredient that is dangerous when it goes bad. I do not know if it is highly lethal, but trust me it is not something you want to experience either way. I suggest you take it and dispose of it before any children or anyone else mistakenly takes it. Prevention is the best solution.

Alternative Fix:
If available, go and get some rum/whiskey and rub it on the gums around the affected tooth, it should act as a mild local anesthetic. Rum is smoother so I recommend that first. It is also safer for the liver than taking a ton of ibuprofen tablets throughout the day.

You may want to see if your dentist offers an affordable payment plan, do NOT try to do any at home fixes yourself, some methods found online offer chemicals that are highly toxic and do not belong in contact with tissue.
